About the treatment

What is Acne Scar Treatment?

Acne scars form when deep breakouts damage collagen as they heal. They show up as rolling dips, boxcar marks or narrow ice-pick scars, and each type responds to different tools.

Your dermatologist first maps the scar types, then sequences treatments over several months so collagen rebuilds steadily without overloading the skin.

Tools include fractional CO2 laser and MNRF for overall texture, subcision (alone or with PRP) to release tethered rolling scars, and TCA CROSS for narrow ice-pick scars.

FAQ

Acne Scar Treatment: your questions

Can acne scars be removed completely?

Most people see a clear improvement in depth and texture. Complete removal is rare, so the aim is skin that looks noticeably smoother.

When will I see results?

Collagen rebuilds slowly. Changes usually show from the second or third session and keep improving for months.

Do I need to stop my acne medicines?

Some medicines must be paused before procedures. Your dermatologist will tell you which and for how long.

Results vary from person to person. Suitability, number of sessions and fees are confirmed after a consultation.
